Chapelle Saint-Amand

La chapelle Saint-Amand, située près du château de Sourniac constitue, en fait, le chœur roman et une partie de la nef de l’ancienne église paroissiale dont les parties 15e et 19e siècles ont été détruites en 1937 au profit de la construction de la nouvelle église, située elle, dans l’actuel bourg de Sourniac. Classée depuis 1983 à l’I.S.M.H elle est considérée comme le plus petit et le plus ancien édifice religieux de la région. Sa construction remonterait au 11e voire 10e siècle.
